About the Exhibition
UH Arts + Culture and St Albans Museum + Gallery are delighted to mark the 150th anniversary of the St Albans School of Art with a major group exhibition. Reflecting on the School’s profound influence on its students and staff, the exhibition showcases the contributions of generations of artists, designers and individuals in a myriad of ways.
This landmark show stretches over seven months and across two venues, with the first exhibition being held at St Albans Museum + Gallery – the original location of the School. Featuring the work of more than 30 alumni and staff from the 1950s to the present day, the exhibition features paintings, prints, sculpture, photography, mixed-media and video works alongside historical archive material sharing the memories and stories of those who have worked, studied or visited the School over the years.
